Snickers Celebrates Its Satisfectellent Ingredients and Offers $25,000 Prize in the Satisfaction Sing-Off Contest
If fifteen minutes of fame isn’t enough, Snickers is offering consumers a chance to win $25,000 just for singing a song all about America’s number one selling candy bar. The Snickers “Satisfaction Sing-Off” kicks off today as fans nationwide are encouraged to prove their love for the candy bar by writing and performing an original ode that celebrates how Snickers satisfies them. Just to keep it interesting, contestants must include Snickers’ four satisfying ingredients, peanuts, chocolate, caramel and nougat, in their songs.
For detailed information about the contest, log on to http://www.SnickersSatisfies.com. Entry is as simple as videotaping a two minutes or less original song that includes all four Snickers ingredients, and upload the creative performance to the website with one easy click. Entrants should take creative license and demonstrate their love of Snickers through their performance, dress, make-up, and any and all other original embellishments.
All entries must be received by 12 midnight on October 14, 2006, and will be narrowed down to ten semifinalists by a panel of qualified judges looking for creative and clever integration of the four ingredients into how and why Snickers satisfies. Voting will be based on the following: criteria: originality (25%), creativity (25%), musical talent (25%) and dramatic performance (25%).
Once the semifinalists are selected, Americans will vote online for their favorite entries. The top three “vote-getters” will enjoy a trip to the finals in Los Angeles where they will perform their song live, and compete for the grand prize $25,000.00. Nick Lachey will serve as one of the judges on the panel. Winning entries will also be highlighted on http://www.SnickersSatisfies.com.
