Attention All Dust Bunnies: Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are!
Homeowners are invited to enter American Standard’s first-ever Dust Bunny Challenge for a chance to win a complete home comfort system featuring an American Standard AccuClean whole-house air filtration system; monthly house-cleaning service for one year; and two American Standard faucets with the new EverClean easy-to-clean finish. The grand prize package is worth $15,000.
“In one year, more than 40 pounds of dirt and dust can accumulate in a typical American home,” said Joyce Warrington, national brand manager, American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning. “For all those little dust bunnies you can see, there are millions more unwanted airborne dust particles and allergens you can’t see. We want to help American families breathe easier and feel more comfortable in their homes.”
It’s easy to enter the Dust Bunny Challenge Homeowners can enter the contest by submitting one color photo of their collection of dust bunnies, along with a 100-word essay describing what causes their annoying dust bunnies and why they don’t like them. Entrants can show and tell American Standard about those dust bunny collections in the corner, under the beds, settling on shelves and windowsills, or inhabiting other dark crevices.
The contest deadline is June 30, 2006. All entries must be postmarked by June 30 and received by July 10, 2006. All entrants also must own their own residence with an existing central heating and cooling system and ductwork.
Then, it’s up to America to vote for the favorite dust bunny. Four finalists will be selected for America to cast online votes for the best of the worst collection of dust bunnies. The four finalists will be notified, and their photos and essays will be posted at http://www.americanstandardair.com/dustbunny by July 31, 2006, for America’s chance to select the winner. Votes will be tallied from July 31 through August 21 when the winner of the American Standard Dust Bunny Challenge is named.
