Got the Perfect Solution to Everyday Household Challenges? Enter the Common Sense Challenge for Opportunity to Win $50,000 Grand Prize
Looking for simple solutions to life’s everyday challenges? Well, 53 percent of Americans are, and they want quick-and-easy solutions to them, according to a new survey commissioned by the SCOTT(R) Brand. The national survey identified America’s top 10 household challenges. Topping the list: finding enough space for everyday necessities. Life at home seems to be full of challenges — from finding time to exercise to simply keeping the house clean — nearly half of Americans feel that managing life is not easy.
To inspire consumers to share their solutions in tackling any one of the nation’s top 10 challenges, SCOTT, in conjunction with celebrity actress Faith Ford, today launched the SCOTT Common Sense Challenge. The national contest invites Americans to share their own common-sense solutions for one of the top household challenges for a chance to win a $50,000 grand prize.
“When I get together with friends, we end up sharing our own practical ideas on how we each solve our own set of challenges. It is amazing, and so much fun, because we almost always start building on each other’s ideas and come up with new and easy-to-use solutions for those everyday challenges,” said Ford. “The SCOTT Common Sense Challenge gives everyone the chance to do the same thing by revealing their creative, useful ideas with the nation, plus giving them a chance to win cash while they are at it!”
Through Aug. 15, 2006, people can submit a video demonstrating their practical solution along with an essay explaining, in 50 words or less, what inspired them to share and discover solutions to life’s everyday challenges. Eighteen semi-finalists will be selected and featured on http://www.ScottCommonSense.com.
Beginning Sept. 21, 2006, Americans will have a chance to cast a vote online for their favorite common-sense solution.
