15th Billboard World Song Contest Ends November 15th
There are only a few days left to enter the 15th Billboard World Song Contest and jumpstart your songwriting career. The deadline is November 15, 2007.
Winners receive over $30,000 in prizes of equipment, merchandise and promotion. The top three winners in each of the eleven categories will have their song featured on a CD that is distributed exclusively to music industry decision makers – record company heads, producers, A&R executives, music publishers, important artists and celebrities, agents, managers and others in the music industry.
Song categories are: Rock/Alt Rock, Pop, Country, Latin, Folk/Americana, Jazz, Contemporary Christian/Gospel, R&B/Blues, Dance, Rap/HipHop and World. New category Electronica/Soundtrack seeks entries to this growing niche.
Awards for each category winners will be handed out on March 29, 2008 at the Mansion Media and Entertainment Center in Branson, MO. This world class theater with its mid-American location will host our Awards Presentation and give our top winners the opportunity to perform their songs in front of industry leaders. One of the winning category songs will then be chosen by an industry panel at this performance and awarded a Grand Prize of $5,000! Runner-up song will receive $1,500 and second runner-up will receive $1,000.
